LaGuardia Memorial House

The merger of SCAN and LaGuardia, an East Harlem settlement house in 2000, gave SCAN a substantial community facility as a base for its East Harlem services and the shared goodwill of LaGuardia’s rich history.

SCAN Mullaly Park Academy Community Center

Selected by the City in 1993 as a community sponsor of a municipal recreation center, SCAN operates Mullaly Park Academy, a ‘state-of-the-art’ community center addressing under one roof the needs of the families and children of the Morrisania, Highbridge and Tremont communities of South Bronx.

James Weldon Johnson Community Center

SCAN’s newest initiative, this facility is a NYCHA community center, providing a rich network of SCAN community services to the Johnson Housing projects' residents and their neighbors in East Harlem.

Beacon Community Centers

SCAN operates two “Beacon” schools: La Isla del Barrio Beacon at the JHS 99 and El Faro Beacon at JHS 45, both in East Harlem. The Beacon schools provide SCAN comprehensive programming throughout the year for youth and, during the summer, also for adults and seniors.

Family Renewal Center

Located in the Bronx, the Center is home to a core of SCAN programming that targets substance abusing parents and their children.

Eisman Day Nursery & LaGuardia Memorial House Nursery

SCAN operates day care centers at the The Eisman Day Nursery, a NYCHA site at 94th Street and First Avenue, and LaGuardia Memorial House Nursery at NYCHA’s East River Houses at 106th and First Avenue.
